Overview

Escape tourist agencies and get to discover Buenos Aires from an anthropological point of view. Don't expect to just walk and listen: be prepared to talk, make questions, taste mate and discuss about the past, present and future of the Argentinean capital. Beginning in Lezama Park and ending in Plaza de Mayo, this walk offers you the chance to approach this beautiful city from its historical past in an attempt to understand its current present. Who were the first inhabitants? What happened to them after the Spanish foundation? Why were the British so interested in this shores? What is the deal with Evita and Perón? Where is the African-descendant population? And where did all these white people come from? Are just some of the many questions we will try to answer in our walk through the most historical part of town.
